Call Now: 1300 REBOOT

The ONE piece of advice you NEED to take

If you only ever take one piece of advice from me – make it this one!

DON’T put your negative thoughts in charge of your decisions, and here’s why.

It’s easy to make rash decisions when you’re in flatsville, where the self-doubt screams loud, and the self-saboteurs are in charge of the detour signs.

But RESIST the urge to slap a FAILURE label on yourself and take a moment to understand what’s really happening.

Your resilience battery is flat which lets all those inherited beliefs, childhood judgments and mean thoughts run loose. But just because they scream loud it DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE RIGHT!

So, what do you do when the bastards get a foothold? You realise that you are using the wrong F word. You are not a failure, you are just flat.

So, for the last few days, I have been down a deep hole myself.

My emotions have been all over the place for a while, and I have been, to put it bluntly, pretty terrified of what the future holds and whether I can even contribute to one.

I decided running a business is too hard, so was on the job pages looking for a career change. I was ready to throw it all in being an entrepreneur gig is like being in the Hunger Games. I just wanted to find someone who would employee me to do what I do (but for them), for a couple of days a week.

But then, as I was ready to start sending my CV, I realised what was really going on.

I have just gotten over an illness and I was approaching the second anniversary of my mum’s passing.

So, I put all decisions on hold, and took the day off.

I drank hot chocolate, watched a million episodes of Farmer Wants a Wife, and chatted away to my mum’s ashes. I felt a bit bad for still having her in the plastic tub she came in, but she was a no-frills gal so I knew she’d prefer that to a fancy urn.

By 3pm I was back to my old positive self.

So, if you are feeling stuck, please put a hold on the decision-making and just allow yourself to just be – without any labels.

If you need some help, you’re welcome to come spend some time with me. I’m no expert, but I know what to do with emotions and how to get the nasty fuckers into a headlock.
